Leave Fairbanks around 5 p.m. for seasonal ice art, dinner at a local restaurant, Chena Hot Springs, and an Aurora chase. Guides such as Kevin and Tabitha help with camera settings and seek darker viewing spots. Expect a small group, hotel pickup, and a return around 1 to 2 a.m.
“The ice museum is so cool! All hand carved on the inside. It is a spectacular sight. The Chena hot springs are hot hot hot and feel good good good. The auroras were a bit covered tonight so we only saw a little bit of it. That part was a little disappointing. Overall I’m satisfied.”
