Spend 4 hours to a full day at QC Termemilano, a city-center spa inside Milan’s old Spanish Walls. You’ll move through warm pools, steam rooms, Kneipp paths, a cinema pool, an archaeological pool, and a sauna built inside a tram. Robe, towel, and flip-flops are included.

Spend one day at Giardini Poseidon Terme in Forio, Ischia. Your ticket covers 15 thermal pools from 28°C to 40°C, three seawater pools, a Japanese Bath, cave sauna, relaxation areas, changing rooms, restrooms, and a private beach. Bring a towel and mandatory swim cap.

At QC Termetorino, you can spend the day moving between thermal baths, whirlpools, hydro-jets, steam rooms, salt rooms, and quiet relaxation spaces inside Abegg Palace. Your pass includes a towel, robe, slippers, body products, and a light buffet with drinks from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Spend up to 10 hours at Theia Thermal Pools in Chianciano Terme, where indoor and outdoor pools stay between 33 and 36°C. Enjoy jets, whirlpools, caves, family pools, lockers, Wi-Fi, and listed sauna and Turkish bath access. Bring a towel, cap, flip-flops, and swimwear.

Spend 2 or 3 hours, or a full day, at Terme Merano, where 26 indoor and outdoor pools meet South Tyrolean mountain views. Swim in salt water, soak in whirlpools, and use the textile-free sauna area with Finnish heat, honey steam, and a Snow Room.
Spend up to 12 hours at Terme Stufe di Nerone in Bacoli, about 20 km from Naples. Your day ticket covers thermal pools, saunas, Turkish baths, whirlpools, mud areas, sunbeds, lockers, and changing rooms. Reach it by Cumana train to Lucrino, then follow signs to the spa.
“Getting there from Naples was harder than welcome anticipated as it involved a rail replacement bus connection but it was worth it when we arrived. We explored the outdoor pools first, feet nibbling fish in one and mud at the next with a 'greenhouse' to sit in to let the mud dry!! Signage wasn't great and we nearly didnt find the natural thermal pool and sauna inside th3 building. This was definitely the highlight. Beware though, bathing hats compulsory at the indoor pool and we were stopped but reception very kindly gave us one each.”

Expect pools, saunas, Turkish baths, emotional showers, aromatherapy, music therapy, and an outdoor garden. An Italian-speaking host handles reception, and a robe and towel are included.

At Otium Spa in Minori, you follow a timed Roman-inspired wellness ritual with clay, foam, soaps, steam, whirlpool, foot baths, emotional showers, herbal tea, and a 30-minute massage. An English-speaking guide leads the experience for a maximum of two people.
“Such a relaxing few hours. Time in a large hot tub. Time in a steam room with mud. Several showers after the mud and then hot tea was served while we rested. Then time in the sauna. After that started the 1 hour massage. We both said it was the best massage of our lives. And we loved Minori. Quiet village that was peaceful.”
Spend about three hours at Princess Spa inside CastelBrando, a 2,000-square-meter wellness center in a 2,000-year-old castle. Enjoy Roman baths, medieval saunas, panoramic hydromassage pools, a salt grotto, Kneipp path, and a 16th-century botanical garden. Robe and towel included.

Leave Rome at 8 a.m. with an English-speaking driver in a private Mercedes, soak for about four hours at the free Cascate del Mulino springs, then stop for lunch and a walk in medieval Pitigliano. Bring water shoes, towels, and a bathrobe.
